Blade (Nagasa)
- This Blade is full handmade by professional smith,including hand forged,polished and sharpened.During the whole process,it is made in the traditional japanese craftsmanship way.
- The blade is made of folded steel and has folded 14 times to create the 8192 layers to increase the flexibility.It brings out the subtler patterns and intricacies of the folded steel.The process is labor-intensive and time consuming.but the results are extremely attractive and unmatched by any mechanized polishing methods.
- The polishing can reveal a lot about the structural quality of the steel and the tempering process employed to harden the cutting edge.Lyuesword polished this onein a way which gave a high mirror-finish to the softer back portion(Ji) of the blade and a whiter,more "abrasive" look, to the flat section(shinogi).onsteel which has been differentially tempered,the pattern left by the clay used can be clearly seen.we can see it along the entire length of the blade,extending all the way to the tip.
Tsuka (Handle)
- This tsuka is wooden one wrapped with genuine ray skin, and tied with aynthetic leather ito in the katatemaki wrap.
- The Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) on the tsuka are made of alloy with matching Menuki on each side as an ornament, two Mekugi (peg) are nailed to secure the Tang of the sword. Sword can be disassembled by picking up the two Mekugi (peg).
Tsuba (Guard)
- This tsuba (guard) of the sword is made of iron with two Seppas spacer securing it.
- The Habaki (blade collar) is of brass composition.
Saya (Sheath)
- This saya is hard wooden and inlayed with shell and later lacquered with a beautiful decorative pattern on it, the Sage-O is tied around the ox horn Kurikaka (knob) of the saya, the ox horn Koiguchi(scabbard mouth) and Kojiri(scabbard tip)has been hardened to tighten the hardness of the saya.
- This saya (sheath) of the sword is lacquered superior paint to high gloss the surface of it.
